Paratroopers of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment

       This account of the Battle for Trois Ponts, Belgium took place during the Battle of the Bulge on December 21st 1944.
It was written by the 505 Parachute Infantry Regiment's 2nd Battalion Commander, Lt. Colonel Ben Vandervoort. The letter
appeared in E company's unpublished book called "Echoes of the Warriors". The work was edited and compiled by George
Jacobus of E company in 1992. You will likely find this excellent history of E company quoted in most books written about
the 505.
